A diferencia de los pronombres he (el) y she (ella), que se refieren a personas el pronombre it (el, ella, ello) se refiere normalmente a animales o cosas.
Otros usos de it
Para referirse a personas: se puede usar it cuando se pregunta o se dice quien es una personas siempre que quede claro a quien nos referimos.
En respuestas cortas: Se utiliza it sustituyendo a this o that.
